I usually like the older Harlequin books on occasion for their lack of sex and old fashioned values. Jessica Steele's books are some of my favorites. This one didn't really do it for me. The entire book was from Ashlyn's POV which I'm used to when reading these books. My problem with this book wasn't Ashlyn--it was Carter. He was likable but aside from knowing he was going to be the lead guy, he wasn't very obvious. As a reader you get 'treated' to 10 pgs of story conclusion with Carter and Ashlyn professing their feelings and basically rehashing their feelings and actions. Pretty redundant and since I've read other Steele authored books, not original.
