Could've Been BetterEasily could have given 4-stars if not for Chaz. He was kind of a dickhead through most of the book. Not good enough for Eric, IMO. Aside from not liking Chaz's character, I didn't really like the head spinning transition from closet gay to borderline effeminate gay.What saved this book was Ferron and his heartbreaking past with his dead partner, Sabine. Everything about his actions and words rang true given his circumstance. Very well written and complex character.The back story is good. The Sci-fi genre is still new to me, so can say I didn't love or hate it. Just something I need to become accustomed to.
